About

Hi, I’m James. I was born in San Diego in 1992 & grew up in the Pacific Northwest.

I first learned to play and write in church, where my dad was a pastor and I joined the worship team. A growing love of punk, metal, hip-hop and rock led me to start bands in my teens, followed by years of writing, recording and performing.

The acoustic guitar gradually became central to my work. Learning from as many great artists as I could find, I kept developing my compositions, writing and recording both as a solo artist and in band projects.

I write songs to cope with the chaos in the world. Playing music brings me peace, and I keep writing to keep that peace.

Find me performing around the Pacific Northwest. Stream my music, buy directly from me on Bandcamp, or join Patreon for unreleased music and more.
